Abir M. Gazzawi
Head of Research

As Head of the Research Unit, Ms. Gazzawi provides the group and its clients with leading-edge financial and economic research, industry analysis and investment recommendations. With over 6 years experience in research design, political and economic risk analysis, Ms. Gazzawi focuses on the development of new research products covering GCC and MENA markets.

Prior to joining Univest Group, Ms.Gazzawi served as a MENA advisor with Praecise. V., Germany. She has also worked as an analyst with a number of international advisory houses including, Eurasia Group in New York, and Intellibridge in Washington DC.

Ms.Gazzawi holds a BA in International Affairs & International Economics, and an MA in International Affairs, with emphasis on the Privatization of State Owned Enterprises. She was a Fulbright Scholar at Fox School of Business and Economics - Temple University.
